For a variety of reasons we do not know what we really like. Sometimes, we avoid thinking about this subject because we are so busy or dizzy. We are devastated by thousands of desires or demands from others. Like a chain reaction, we postpone thinking about how we like our eggs done. Have you ever stopped to think about how much time you spend desiring the eggs of your parents, friends, partner and so on?
I bet you don’t have a clue about how you’d like your eggs prepared.
This reminds me about a scene in the 1999 romantic comedy film Runaway Bride, when Maggie Carpenter, played by Julia Roberts, confronts herself about the way she likes her eggs. After Maggie had, on four separate occasions, left her fiancé waiting for her in church on their wedding day, she tries to discover more about her tastes.
She remembers that each of them had asked her about the way she liked her eggs prepared. But she never knew how to answer the question -- she just didn’t know her own taste. Normally, she would just have the same type of eggs her fiancé at the time was having.
Placing many dishes of eggs prepared in different ways in front of her, she tasted one by one and finally she discovered how she likes her eggs...
And YOU? How do you like your eggs?
